"NTA finally implements MDMS in Nepal: Here’s all you need to know with Videos"

To manage the use and import of mobile sets in Nepal, MDMS system will be implemented from 2080-02-01 BS, Arrangements have been made to automatically register mobile sets brought from abroad for personal purposes that have passed the inspection at the customs office in the MDMS system. According to the Nepal Government's "Private Use Goods Order 2077", it has been arranged that mobile sets brought from abroad for personal purposes can be registered by the concerned person by entering the following documents into the system.

• Departure Stamp and Arrival Stamp
When purchasing a mobile within Nepal, it is informed that the mobile set should be purchased only if it is registered in the MDMS system of Nepal Telecommunication Authority (mdms.nta.gov.np). In addition, mobile importers/sellers are informed that before importing mobiles, they must take the prior approval of the authority and sell and distribute only mobiles that are registered with the authority.
