25th December, Kathmandu. An earthquake has struck Darchula this evening. The earthquake occurred in the Api Himal area of Darchula.
The National Seismological and Research Center has reported that a magnitude 4 earthquake struck the Api Himal area at 9:25 pm today.
As of the time of filing this news, there are no details about the damage caused by the earthquake.
Earlier, a magnitude 5 earthquake with its epicenter in Gotri, Bajura, damaged more than 16 houses.
For the past few weeks, small earthquake tremors have been felt almost daily in the districts of the far west. Western Nepal is also considered very sensitive from the perspective of earthquake risk.
