How to call from online to Number(offline)
Nepal Telecom has commercially launched the
"VoWiFi" (Voice over Wi-Fi) service. The service was officially
inaugurated on Tuesday during the 21st anniversary celebration of Nepal
Telecom.
Through this technology, any mobile phone that supports
VoWiFi and has VoLTE service activated can use Nepal Telecom's mobile number to
make voice calls and send SMS messages within Nepal and from abroad via a Wi-Fi
network.
According to the company, using this service within Nepal
will incur charges based on existing voice/SMS packages or pay-as-you-go rates.
When using the service from abroad, incoming calls will be free, while outgoing
calls will be charged at Rs. 3 per minute.
With the launch of the VoWiFi service, the company has
planned to provide customers with more convenient and technology-friendly
communication services.
What is VoWiFi?
VoWiFi, or Voice over Wi-Fi, is a technology that allows
users to make phone calls and send SMS messages over a Wi-Fi network.
Typically, mobile calls are made through cellular networks (such as 2G, 3G,
4G). However, VoWiFi enables users to make calls and send SMS messages via
Wi-Fi even in areas without mobile network coverage.
If your mobile phone supports VoWiFi and has VoLTE service
activated, you can make phone calls and send SMS messages using Wi-Fi instead
of your mobile network.
VoWiFi makes it possible to stay connected via Wi-Fi
internet in areas with weak mobile tower signals, such as inside homes,
underground areas, or remote locations. Even when abroad, if you are connected
to a Wi-Fi network, you can use Nepal Telecom's VoWiFi service to make calls
and send SMS messages as if you were in Nepal.
